Great bicycle light and more!
This is an outstanding bicycle lights with great quality both in design and performance. Light is very bright at highest of 3 levels making it ideal for me on early morning rides before the heat of the day. I ride at a 15 mph average and feel confident riding along with visibility of potholes clearly seen and avoided from two focused beams straight ahead of me. The light is also visible from the sides with 90 degree spread of light which offers another point of safety from cars approaching from left or right side. Also will charge other items such as Garmin GPS or my phone if needed during a long ride from included extra charging cables. Does everything you want and more.

Outstanding! During my first daytime ride with this light I used the pulse pattern. No doubt helped at bike crossings, all cars came to a stop pretty quickly to let me go across and pedestrians on the trails could see me from far and gave a little extra space. Much appreciated.Easy to use out the box. Came with a good charge and was fully charged in a half hour.Looks good too!

The Ravemen FR500 excels to alert oncoming traffic day/night–it lights the road for night riding
I originally was going to buy the Ravemen FR160, but then saw they had two more recent models, the 300 and the 500, each brighter than the others. Reviews of the 160 and 300 lauded their visibility, but thought they fell short of lighting up the road ahead sufficiently. The FR500 is very bright, enough to light up the road for night riding without another special night light. I had my son ride my bike several blocks away at night and ride back towards me. It was very bright, like a single car or motorcycle headlight and brought attention to bright to miss or ignore. The wide angle ensures that drivers off axis will easily see it, day or night! I like that I can connect it to my Garmin 530 mount and mount my Garmin bike computer directly on top of it with the standard Garmin connectors. It includes two short USB cables with connectors to adapt to your Garmin computer charging port–not sure I will ever use that to charge my bike computer, and am considering whether I want to pack it along for typical bike rides. Probably only the very longest of rides, but then will the light run out of juice before my bike computer? Lastly, my Garmin mount is angled up so that viewing the display is ideal. However, the light is then angled up into the oncoming driver’s eyes and also does not directly light the road. I plan to buy a new mount with an adjustable angle and recommend you do too.

Best light I have ever owned
This is the best designed light I have ever used. It is easy to use well designed bright amd lasts for a long time. I recommend this to everyone who needs a light. Only downside is you may have to adjust your mount angled down to get the light to shine where you want it to.

When I ordered this I was looking for something I could use for road riding at night through the city and multi use paths (not always well lit). I was concerned about the 500 lumens not being enough (most articles I saw suggested 1000 or more) but for what I’m using it for I think 500 works. Definitely bright enough to ride by (at a moderate speed). Form factor is great for my Garmin and I love how it clicks together (feels very solid and works with my aero bars). I’ll need to play with it some more but first impressions are solid.

It’s bright enough for city and evening rides, and the beam spread is wide enough to give good side visibility. The mounting feels secure, and the controls are easy to use while riding.I haven’t tried it with a Garmin yet, but as a standalone light it performs well. Battery life seems fine too and the usb c charging makes it more convenient then older styles.
